The purpose of the Scott County Family Justice Center is to protect and empower victims and survivors of domestic violence, child abuse, sexual assault and exploitation, human trafficking, stalking, and elder abuse.
We provide a secure physical site that has co-located, expert services that promote a future of safety, self-reliance, and opportunity for victims of family violence. We relentlessly advocate a zero-tolerance policy of all forms of interpersonal violence and drive social change through community education and collaboration.
If you're committed to protecting victims, you can join our cause. Fill out a volunteer application to get started!

"I can't put into words how thankful I am for the people at the FJC. Christy Harness and the rest of the staff are simply a blessing… From the first day I walked in I felt a sense of comfort that I was no longer on the journey alone – from being there by your side at court to an unlimited amount of phone calls and messages to check on how everything is going. Sometimes we don't always feel like we are strong enough to make the changes we need to in our lives so it helps to have such an amazing place that gives you the encouragement you need."

"I didn't even know about the Family Justice Center until I needed them. Law enforcement referred them to me when I needed an Order of Protection. From day one, they were fantastic. They took care of me and explained things to me. They did an excellent job and followed up with me to make sure everything was going the way it was supposed to. Everyone I had dealings with there was doing an excellent job. And it's good to know now that we have something like that."
